In medicine, specifically urology, dysuria refers to any difficulty in urination. It is sometimes accompanied by pain. It is most often a result of an infectionof the urinary tract. Sometimes these symptoms can coincide with an STD or yeast infection. In men, the urinary system overlaps with the reproductive system, so dysuria can also be a result of genitalinfection.
