Trendelenburg position

In the Trendelenburg position the bodyis laid flat on the back with the head lower than the pelvis, in contrast to the reverse trendelenburg position. This is a standard position used in surgeryin gynecology. It was named for the German surgeon Friedrich Trendelenburg.
