Sex cord-stromal tumours are a group of sex cordovarian neoplasmswhich accounts for 8% of all reported cases.
This group consists of the neoplasticproliferations of:
- granulosa(granulosa cell tumours)
- theca(thecomas)
- Sertoliand Leydigcells (Sertoli-Leydig cell tumours)
- fibroblasts(fibroma)
These tumours tend to be functioning and, by producing estrogensor androgens, may have dramatic clinical presentations.
Almost all are unilateral.
