Lochia

Lochia is also a genus of plants. See Lochia (plant).

In the field of obstetrics, lochia is post-partum vaginaldischarge, containing blood, mucus, and placentaltissue. Lochia discharge typically continues for 4 to 6 weeks after childbirth.
