Fusobacteria are a classin the phylumBacteriathat contribute to several diseases, including periodontal diseases, Lemierre's syndrome, and tropical skin ulcers. In humans, they are one of the major types of gut florafound in many parts of the gastrointestinal tract. They are Gram-negativeand anaerobic.
