William Middlesworth

William Middlesworth, MD is the Director of the Regional Pediatric Trauma Program at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery & Pediatrics at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is best known for his published works on hepatoblastoma, a rare tumor of the liver affecting children. He and his colleagues have written numerous studies on tumor growth and angiogenesis in models of pediatric solid tumors. Dr. Middlesworth’s clinical specialties include surgical oncology, minimal access surgery of the chest and abdomen, newborn surgery and prenatal consultations.
