The Faculty's Graduate Medical Program (GMP) is a graduate-entry degree leading to the award of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Entry into the program is on the basis of undergraduate degree performance (in any discipline), GAMSAT performance, and structured interview. Each year cohort has approximately 350 students enrolled, of which 80 are overseas full-fee paying places. The program is of four years duration, and key course features include a hybrid problem-based learning model, early clinical exposure, online learning resources, and a focus of evidence-based medicine. The curriculum has been bought and adapted by a number of other universities.

Undergraduate Medical Program

The Faculty offers an undergraduate entry medical program, in which students complete a three year bachelors degree in Science, Music or Arts, and then enter into the four year graduate medicine course. Entry into this program is highly competitive, as only ten to twenty places are available. As of 2007, the UAI cutoff is at 99.95, the highest cutoff of any undergraduate degree in Australia.
