UC San Diego School of Medicine

University of California at San Diego School of Medicine is a medical school located in La Jolla, California, USA. The school held its first class in 1969 and conferred its first degrees in 1973. The school aggressively recruited leading physician scientists of its era and rapidly gained reputation as an elite medical school. The sophomore class in 1971 achieved the highest score in the National Board of Medical Examiners examination in the nation.UCSD School of Medicine was ranked 14 on the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report for research. US News Medical School Ranking for 2007 UCSD School of Medicine was ranked 33 in primary care.
