Thomas Jefferson University

Thomas Jefferson University is an independent medical school, health professions and medical research institution. Founded in 1824, it is located in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The university takes an active role in medical research.It began as Jefferson Medical College in 1824. On July 1, 1969 the institution officially became Thomas Jefferson University.The university is made up of three colleges:
  • Jefferson Medical College
  • Jefferson College of Graduate Studies
  • Jefferson College of Health Professions
