Since there is no scientific foundation for Quantum Touch, skeptics suggest that any therapeutic effect may be due to the placebo effect. A MedLine search for Quantum Touch reveals no peer-reviewed studies of the technique. Another view is that QT is used merely as a "feel-good" therapy, and that recipients themselves do not expect any significant healing effects.
