Launched in October 2003, Nature Reviews Microbiology 1740-1526 EISSN 1740-1534 is part of the Nature Publishing Group. The journal publishes reviews and perspectives that help to integrate the various disciplines, bridging fundamental research and its clinical, industrial and environmental applications to create a single information resource for all who share an interest in microbial life. Nature Reviews Microbiology highlights important developments in our understanding of bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoan parasites, their interaction with their environments, how these organisms are harnessed in human endeavour and their impact on society.
