Causes

Uterine bleeding at irregular intervals, particularly between the expected menstrual periods. May or may not be associate with the post-menopausal period.
  • endometriosis
  • ectopic pregnancy
  • hormone imbalance
  • endometrial hyperplasia
  • polyp
  • Use of progestin-only contraceptives, such as Depo Provera
  • use of an IUD
  • cervical cancer
  • Uterine leiomyomas
  • Hypertension
