Megalocephaly
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In medicine, megalocephaly is a birth defect that causes an abonormally large head. It is common in cases of retardation seen in neurofibromatosis 1, Fragile X Syndrome, Sotos Syndrome, and Simpson-Golabi-Benel Syndrome. Megalocephaly differs from hydrocephalus in that there is no increased intracranial pressure and the overgrowth is symmetrical.
