Faget sign

In medicine, the Faget sign is the unusual constellation of fever and bradycardia (a slow pulse). It is often seen in yellow fever.Fever is usually accompanied by tachycardia (a fast pulse), an association known by the eponym Liebermeisters rule''.Faget sign is also seen in:
  • Typhoid Fever
  • tularaemia
  • brucellosis
  • Colorado tick fever
  • Some pneumonias - Legionella pneumonia and Mycoplasma pneumonia
  • It is named after Jean-Charles Faget.
