The European Institute of TeleSurgery (EITS) was created by Professor Jacques Marescaux in Strasbourg in 1994 in conjunction with IRCAD. The creation of the Institute resulted from the combined synergy of the Louis Pasteur University, private companies, and local authorities.On an international scale, more than 3000 surgeons come to Strasbourg every year to make the most of our unique training courses. The exceptional involvement and self-commitment of more than 600 international experts is key to the institute's success.
