David Sackett

David Sackett (born November 17, 1934) is a Canadian medical doctor and a pioneer in evidence-based medicine. Free Full Text. He founded the first department of clinical epidemiology in Canada at McMaster University, and the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine [http://www.cebm.net/index.asp]. He well known for his textbook Clinical Epidemiology: A Basic Science for Clinical Medicine.

Education

Sackett obtained his medical degree at the University of Illinois, has a Doctor of Science from the University of Bern and a Master of Science in Epidemiology from Harvard University.David Sackett. consort-statement.org.
