Clavibacter michiganensis is a Gram-positive soil bacterium that constitutes the sole species of the genus Clavibacter. Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis is the causative agent of bacterial canker of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.).
