ATR-X

ATR-X is used to refer to Alpha-thalassemia X-Linked Mental Retardation, a condition caused by a mutated gene. Females with this mutated gene have no specific signs or features. Male carriers tend to be moderately mentally retarded and have physical characteristics including excessively prominent lips, a depressed nasal bridge, and a small head size.
